Meet Sara Bloom: The Heart and Soul Behind HormoneEase
Behind HormoneEase is a story of struggle, resilience, and hope. I’m Sara Bloom, and I’m here to share my journey with you—not as an expert, but as a woman who’s been where you are.
Let me tell you how I turned my challenges into a mission to help women like us find balance and feel like ourselves again.

Sara Bloom: A Woman Just Like You
I’m Sara Bloom, a 40-year-old mom of two and a marketing coordinator who used to find joy in the little things: baking cookies with my kids, diving into a good book, or taking quiet evening walks with my husband.
On the outside, I seemed to have it all together—a loving family, a stable job, a busy but happy life. But inside, I was unraveling. I wasn’t a doctor or a wellness guru.
I was just a woman who loved learning, always curious about how to make life better for myself and my family. That curiosity would later become my lifeline.

The Hidden Struggle: My Battle with Hormonal Imbalance
It started subtly. I’d wake up exhausted, even after a full night’s sleep. My patience wore thin—I’d snap at my kids over the smallest things, then spend the rest of the day drowning in guilt.
At night, my mind raced with worries I couldn’t quiet, leaving me staring at the ceiling for hours.
Then came the mood swings: one moment I’d feel okay, the next I’d be fighting back tears for no reason.
My body felt off—sugar cravings, bloating, and a constant fog that made it hard to focus at work.
I’ll never forget the day I missed my daughter’s school play. I was too drained to even get out of bed that morning, and when she came home asking why I wasn’t there, I broke down.
I felt like I was failing her, failing my family, failing myself. My husband tried to support me, but I could see the worry in his eyes as I grew more distant.
Friends suggested I “just relax” or “drink more water,” but nothing worked. Doctors told me my labs were “normal,” which only made me feel more alone.
I knew something was wrong—deep down, I suspected my hormones—but I had no idea where to start.
The Turning Point: A Moment of Clarity
One rainy evening, after another sleepless night, I hit my breaking point. I sat on my couch, wrapped in a blanket, tears streaming down my face as I whispered to myself, “I can’t live like this anymore.”
That same night, while scrolling online, I stumbled upon an article about hormonal imbalances in women over 35. It described everything I was feeling—the exhaustion, the mood swings, the brain fog.
For the first time, I didn’t feel crazy. I felt seen.
That article was my spark. I made a promise to myself: I’d figure this out, no matter how long it took. I was scared, but beneath the fear was a flicker of hope.
I finally had a starting point, and I was determined to take control of my health—for myself, for my kids, for the life I wanted back.

My Journey to Balance: Trial, Error, and Triumph
Small Steps, Big Changes
I dove in headfirst, starting with small changes. I tracked my sleep patterns and noticed how late-night scrolling made things worse, so I started dimming the lights and putting my phone away earlier.
I learned how stress was spiking my cortisol, so I set boundaries—like saying no to extra work projects—and carved out 10 minutes a day to just breathe deeply.
I experimented with my diet, cutting back on sugar and adding more whole foods, even though I craved chocolate like never before.
It wasn’t easy, and there were days I felt like giving up, but I kept going, driven by the hope of feeling like myself again.
Moments of Joy Returned
Slowly, things started to shift. One morning, about three months into my journey, I woke up and felt… awake. Not perfect, but clear-headed for the first time in years.
I’ll never forget the first time I laughed—really laughed—with my kids again. We were making pancakes, and my son smeared batter on my cheek.
I burst into laughter, and for a moment, I felt like the old Sara—the one who loved life, who showed up for her family. That moment of joy, so simple yet so profound, fueled me to keep going.
I became obsessed with understanding how hormones like cortisol, estrogen, and insulin worked together. I read books, listened to podcasts, and took notes on everything from light exposure to nutrition.
When I shared tips with friends and saw their energy improve too, I knew I was onto something bigger.
Why I Created HormoneEase: A Mission Born from Empathy
I created Hormone Ease because I know what it’s like to feel lost, dismissed, and desperate for answers.
I know the loneliness of struggling in silence, the guilt of not being the mom or partner you want to be, the frustration of being told “it’s all in your head.”
I never want another woman to feel that way.
Hormone Ease is my heart poured into a platform. It’s a space where my personal journey meets science-backed tools, designed to help women over 40 understand their bodies and take back control.
Every quiz, calculator, and article here is something I wish I’d had when I was at my lowest.
My mission is simple: to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to find your balance—because I believe you can.
